Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska is a statewide, nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a better future for all Nebraskans through prevention, education, advocacy and support.
“The BIA-NE is the only organization in Nebraska exclusively dedicated to the tens of thousands of Nebraskans living with the life-altering effects of brain injuries - children, adults and families are impacted by brain injuries,” said Peggy Reisher, executive director of the BIA-NE. “No family should have to face the challenges associated with a brain injury alone.”
The programs of the BIA-NE include: resource and referral for brain injury survivors, changing the culture of concussion, responding to the needs of domestic violence victims, preventing abusive head trauma in children, providing support group, and brain injury education and outreach.
Virtual Blazing Trail for Brain Injury race/walks are encouraged across Nebraska with a virtual registration fee of $25 per participant that includes a T-shirt. Virtual teams can create an event wherever they live in the state or create a team to raise money for brain injury services.
